Community Air Protection Incentives Program Public Workshop, 11:00 am April 27, 2022
The District has been allocated $877,600 for emission reduction projects in the third year of Community Air Protection Incentives funding. The projects should be located in and/or directly benefit SB 535 and AB 1550 communities. Projects will be selected based on benefit to SB 535 and AB 1550 communities, eligibility under the Carl Moyer Program Guidelines and Project Plan, and community input.
Eligible projects include:
- Replacement of diesel fueled on-road trucks with zero-emission trucks
- Replacement of school buses
- Electric vehicle charging infrastructure
- Replacement of diesel emergency generators with cleaner diesel or low/zero emission technology
- Zero emission lawn and garden equipment used at schools

State Reserve Carl Moyer Program
In addition to the CAP Incentives funding, the District has available approximately $100,000 for electric vehicle charging stations in Yuba and Sutter counties outside of the Disadvantaged Communities from the State Reserve of the Carl Moyer Program Year 23. Applicants may apply using the General Application for the CAP Incentives Program. Projects will be placed in either the CAP or State Reserve based on location and benefit to Disadvantaged Communities.
