Upcoming Rule Workshops and Public Hearings

The District has two public notices for upcoming hearings:

Notice #1

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Feather River Air Quality Management District (District) will conduct a public hearing on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. The purpose of the hearing is to receive comments and consider the adoption on the Northern Sacramento Valley Planning Area (NSVPA) 2024 Triennial Air Quality Attainment Plan (Attainment Plan).


The Public Hearing will be held at the District Office located at 541 Washington Avenue in Yuba City, CA. There will be a virtual option for participants that are unable to attend in person. The Zoom Meeting invitation and telephone instructions will be posted on the District’s website, www.fraqmd.org, under the Public Notices icon.
The Attainment Plan addresses the progress made in implementing the 2021 Air Quality Attainment Plan and proposes strategies necessary to attain the California ambient air quality standards.

 

The Attainment Plan identifies the air pollution problems and health impacts which are cooperatively addressed by the air districts of the NSVPA, which includes Yuba, Sutter, Colusa, Glenn, Butte, Tehama, and Shasta Counties. The Attainment Plan is available on the District’s website: www.fraqmd.org beginning November 1, 2024, and can be emailed or mailed upon request by calling (530) 634-7659 ext 0.


Written comments will be accepted at the District office until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2024. Comments should be submitted to: Feather River Air Quality Management District, 541 Washington Avenue, Yuba City, CA 95991 Attn: APCO. Comments may also be sent by email to: fraqmd@fraqmd.org. In addition, written and oral testimony may be presented to the Board of Directors at the public hearing on December 2, 2024.

Notice #2:

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Feather River Air Quality Management District (District) will conduct a public hearing on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 4:00 pm, at the District office, 541 Washington Avenue, Yuba City, CA 95991.

 

The purpose of the hearing is to consider the adoption of the Proposed Contingency Measures and Reasoned Justification for the 2008 and 2015 8-hour Ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards for the Sacramento Federal Nonattainment Area. If adopted, the plan will be a revision to the State Implementation Plan. The plan is available on the District’s website: www.fraqmd.org.

 

The plan revision is intended to satisfy the requirements of the Clean Air Act Section 110, 172, and 182, and Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 51.

 

By this notice, all interested parties are invited to provide comments on the proposed action. Written comments should be submitted by mail to the District, 541 Washington Avenue, Yuba City, CA 95991, or by email to sspaethe@fraqmd.org. Written comments must be received by 5:00 pm on November 21, 2024. Comments may also be presented during the hearing on December 2, 2024.
